We have an opportunity to join our Risk team as a Cyber Security & Technology Risk Manager! This is a pivotal role providing 2nd line oversight to our digital and technology transformation journey ensuring the safety and security of The Nottingham as we evolve for the future.

As the Cyber Security & Technology Risk Manager you'll enable our strategy execution, offering crucial risk assurance and oversight across information security and technology-driven initiatives. Your role will be instrumental in fostering strong stakeholder relationships and acting as a credible and influential voice on cyber and technology risk matters at all levels within the organisation.

You'll champion the integration of technology to move our business forward while continuously refining our risk management framework and processes to effectively safeguard the organisation.

This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Cyber and Technology practitioner to get exposure to a 2nd Line oversight role as a senior member of the team with significant exposure to senior management.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Cyber Security & Technology Risk Manager at The Nottingham -

  • Provide independent oversight and assurance on cyber and technology risk related systems and controls; providing advice to relevant stakeholders and category owners on the effectiveness of risk management.
  • Support our digital transformation journey by understanding our strategic priorities, our digital roadmap and the project demand pipeline across our Technology & Transformation function to pro-actively provide, guidance and risk oversight – building strong relationships, credibility and trust is key!
  • Ensure that risks are appropriately managed throughout the lifecycle of change initiatives by undertaking regular reviews of risk assessments and ensuring that robust systems are in place for monitoring cyber and technology incidents.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and analysis of relevant forward-looking MI and prepare written reports for the Chief Risk Officer, Director of Risk and committees; you will regularly provide an independent, second line view on incidents to the Information Risk Committee.
  • Be vigilant in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, ensuring that we evolve proactively to meet emerging challenges and enhance our practices.

About you: -

  • Transferable experience within a similar role; Cyber Security knowledge / experience is essential.
  • An understanding of risk management methodologies / systems.
  • Experience in the design of relevant MI / reporting for committees.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and make timely and reasoned decisions.
  • Ability to form effective, positive working relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively to achieve the right outcomes for the business.
