We are looking for more brilliant people to join our growing team and have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Manager – Portfolio Management Office to join the Society!

You'll guide a talented team in shaping and executing our Technology and Transformation roadmap to align seamlessly with our organisational vision. You will be setting the course for transformative change; from ensuring top-notch quality in deliverables to navigating the change management framework, you’ll play an essential role in driving impactful, well-resourced initiatives. Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Senior Manager - PMO at Nottingham Building Society: -

  • Oversee the selection, prioritisation, and scheduling of projects within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools, and continuously improve PMO processes and practices.
  • Support the continuous development of our Change Portfolio / PMO processes and drive opportunities to automate existing change management, governance processes and change reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planners and PMO analysts, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • You will be responsible for the preparation and delivering of all reporting, including our Executive and Board Committees.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of our pods, projects and programmes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the allocation and utilisation of resources across projects and identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects and programmes.
  • Working with our Resource Planning Analysts, manage the demand pipeline with effective resourcing strategies and engagement with business stakeholders.
  • Help lead the team on Agile and SCRUM methodologies and promote the practices throughout the Society.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for project management within the organisation. Support Director of Transformation and Head of Delivery (CoE) in key change oversight and governance forums.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate stakeholder engagement. Collaborate closely with wider teams support and training where required as well as challenge on programme and project artefacts.

About you: -

  • Proven experience leading a PMO team with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Proficiency in PMO tools and methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Passion for strategic thinking, with experience in business analysis, strategy development, business case development and change management.
  • Portfolio or Programme management certifications (e.g. Prince 2, PMP, Agile, MSPs, P30 or APMP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management, including working and presenting with senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets.
