  • Are you a strong communicator with a passion for storytelling, digital content, and engaging audiences? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in communications, PR, and social media while also developing key skills in team support, report writing, and presentation preparation? If so, Nottingham Building Society is looking for a Communications Assistant to join our team and help us connect with our members, employees, and the wider community.  

    This is an exciting entry-level opportunity where you’ll develop essential skills, work on real projects, and be part of a supportive team that’s committed to your growth. You’ll also provide administrative and project support to the leadership team within the Communications department, gaining exposure to strategic communications planning.

     

    Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Communications Executive at Nottingham Building Society: -

    • Create Engaging Content: Write and edit content for intranet, newsletters, and employee updates.
    • Organise Internal Events: Help plan and promote events, town halls, and engagement activities.
    • Prepare Reports and Presentations: Assist in creating reports and presentations for internal meetings and leadership updates.
    • Draft Press Releases and Articles: Help draft press releases, blog posts, and articles to promote our brand.
    • Monitor Media Relations: Support media relations by tracking press coverage and developing PR campaigns.
    • Manage Social Media: Schedule and post content on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
    • Support Marketing Campaigns: Work with the marketing team to coordinate creative assets and contribute fresh ideas.
    • Provide Administrative Support: Maintain contact lists, schedule meetings, and assist with event logistics and communications calendars.

    • Exceptional Writing and Storytelling: Strong skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Creative Thinker: Enjoys generating new ideas and engaging content.
    • Social Media Savvy: Confident using social media and interested in digital trends.
    • Organised and Proactive: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong Administrative Skills: Efficient in managing tasks and organising work.
    • Report and Presentation Preparation: Skilled in compiling reports and creating professional presentations.
    • Team Player: Great communication skills and a willingness to learn.
    • Adaptable and Eager to Learn: Always ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
